FUNCTION on the TV's front panel or SET-UP on the remote control selects
the different on-screen function controls.

Press the button until the function you want to set appears on the TV.

SETTING THE ON-SCREEN LANGUAGE

1.  Press SET-UP or FUNCTION until LANGUAGE appears on the screen.

2.  Press VOLUME + or - so the arrow points to English or Spanish.

3.  The on-screen display automatically clears in 3 seconds.  Or press
    RECALL to clear it.

All on-screen displays are now in the selected language.

SELECTING THE INPUT SIGNAL

1.  Press SET-UP until INPUT SELECTION appears on the screen.

2.  Press VOLUME + or - so the arrow points to AIR, CABLE, or VIDEO.

    Select AIR if you are using an antenna or CABLE if you are using a
    cable service.

SELECTING TV OR VIDEO

Press TV/VIDEO on the remote control to view the selected input signal
(TV) or the audio/video source connected to the TV's input jacks.

USING AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL CHANNEL PROGRAMMING

When you turn on the TV for the first time, use the automatic channel
programming feature to scan and memorize all active broadcast and cable
channels in your area.  If there are additional channels you want to add
or delete, you can manually add or delete those channels.

Using Automatic Programming

1.  Press TV/VIDEO so TV is selected.

2.  Press SET-UP on the remote control or FUNCTION on the front panel
    until AUTO PROGRAM appears on the screen.

3.  Press VOLUME + or -, and the TV automatically scans and memorizes all
    the active channels in your area.

When the TV has scanned and stored all the active channels, it stops on
the first programmed channel.  You can also press any button on the remote
control panel to stop automatic programming.

After the TV completes automatic channel programming, it skips inactive
channels when you use CHANNEL + or -.  You can repeat automatic
programming at any time.

If the TV is unplugged for more than 24 hours, you must repeat automatic
channel programming to restore channels in memory.

Manually Adding a Channel

If the TV stored a channel you do not want, follow these steps to delete
the channel from memory.

1.  Press TV/VIDEO to TV is selected.

2.  Select AIR or CABLE for the band in which the station is stored (see
    "Selecting the Input Signal").

3.  Press CHANNEL +/- or the remote control's number button(s) to select
    the channel you want to delete.

4.  Press SET-UP on the remote control until the channel number, ADD, and
    DELETE appear on the screen.

5.  Press VOLUME + or - so the arrow points to DELETE.

USING AUTO DEMONSTRATION

Auto demonstration allows you to review all the menus programmed in the TV
set.

1.  Press SET-UP on the remote control until AUTO DEMO appears on the
    screen.

2.  Press VOLUME + or -, and the demonstration starts.  The screen shows
    the different controls and adjusts them so you can see how each one
    works.

    When the demonstration reaches the last display, it starts again from
    the beginning.

3.  To stop auto demonstration, press any button on the remote control or
    front panel.  The picture returns to the settings selected before the
    demonstration.
