Model 98 (160-0536) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 7911 INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL'S BATTERIES The remote control requires two AA batteries (not included) for operation. We recommend alkaline batteries (Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-552). 1. Remove the battery compartment cover by pressing the cover in the direction of the arrow. 2. Place two fresh AA batteries in the compartment, as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside. 3. Replace the cover. NOTE: If the remote control does not work or operates poorly, replace both batteries. CAUTIONS: Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type. Always remove old or weak batteries. They can leak chemicals that can damage electronic circuits. SETTING THE ON-SCREEN PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE AND CLOCK Use the remote control to select the language and set the clock. NOTE: Set the clock accurately for proper automatic timer and quick timer recording. We suggest you refer to a TV or radio station to obtain the correct time.
