After checking ALL the previous points, and ONLY if no further intervention
is required, plug into the power outlet and switch on the printer (the ON
LED lights).

Whenever the printer is switched on:

    It undergoes a series of internal checks.
    If any faults are found, the ON LINE LED on the operator panel will
    flash rapidly.  Should this happen, switch the printer off and then on
    again.  If the fault persists, contact your dealer, service center or
    Citizen directly.

    A mechanical reset is executed and the SET-UP selectors are read.  The
    print head carriage stops in the extreme right-hand position (rest
    position).

    If no faults are found, it will be in ON LINE condition.

Switch the printer off.

CAUTION:  If you have had any problems, check that you have executed all
          the procedures described in this chapter correctly; if you have,
          see the section entitled "Troubleshooting".
