Citizen PROjet II (260-2957) Hexadecimal Print-Out Faxback Doc. # 14697 Hexadecimal printing is a diagnostic feature which allows you to analyze all the bytes transferred from the host system to the printer. Each byte is printed in its hexadecimal form, allowing you to check the data codes transmitted. Running a Hexadecimal Print-Out CAUTION: Make sure that the print head is inserted and that there is paper in the paper tray. The hexadecimal print-out is started from a printer-off condition. Holding down the ON LINE and LINE FEED keys together on the operator panel, switch on the printer. (Keep the keys held down until the mechanical reset has been completed.) Any data now transmitted to the printer will be printed in its hexadecimal format; ESCAPE sequences are not executed. To suspend the print-out temporarily, press the ON LINE key (pressing this key a second time will cause printing to resume). To exit from hexadecimal print-out mode, switch the printer off. Once the data string has been transmitted to the printer, check it to see that the hexadecimal codes printed correspond exactly to what you entered on your computer/host system. CAUTION: If you have any problems obtaining a hexadecimal print-out, check that you have followed the operating procedures correctly; if so. see Troubleshooting. (LB/all-04/21/95)
