Although the new SYPLUS program does not contain a driver specifically for
use with the Cipher 150 Meg SCSI Tape Drive, you should be able to use
Cipher tape drive with the SYPLUS programs by specifying Archive 2150S as
the tape driver.

NOTE:  During tests ... the ASPI4DOS.SYS driver would not load properly
       when the Interrupt jumper JP16 was set to Interrupt 10.  The Default
       Interrupt 11 works fine.  Other Interrupt setting possibilities were
       not tested.

Adaptec AHA-1542A (both BIOS versions 4.05S & 5.05S tested)

(Tandy), Part # 945607-001

GENERAL DIRECTIONS

Install the SYTOS Plus programs version SPED-132 onto your hard disk and
specify the tape driver as Archive 2150S.

After the SYPLUS software is installed then copy the ASPI4DOS.SYS driver
from the Adaptec ASW-1410 ASPI for DOS Manager disk to \SYPLUS\SYFILES
directory.

Edit the CONFIG.SYS files on your computer and add ...

    DEVICE=\SYPLUS\SYFILES\ASPI4DOS.SYS
    FILES=20

Reboot your computer with the new CONFIG.SYS to ensure that the
ASPI4DOS.SYS driver loads successfully.

You should now be able to execute the SYPLUS programs and backup your
computer.

Please be aware:  This is not a supported configuration, and even though
the new SYPLUS programs seemed to function properly, Radio Shack nor Sytron
Corporation assumes any liability from the incorporation or use of this
information.
