DMP 2104 (26-2865) Errors Faxback Doc. # 4197 ┌───────────────────┐ │Paper Empty Error: │ └───────────────────┘ During printing, if the printer detects that its paper supply has run out, the printer continues printing to a position approximately one inch from the bottom edge of the last page. Then, it goes off line and stops printing. To continue printing when this happens, press [ON/OFF LINE]; the printer prints one more line and then stops again. If the paper empty error occurs while the printer is not printing, the printer immediately goes off line. When a paper empty error occurs, the ON LINE/ALARM indicator flashes at one-second intervals. To correct the problem, load paper into the printer. ┌─────────────────────────┐ │Carriage Position Error: │ └─────────────────────────┘ When you turn on the printer, the carriage moves to the home position. If the carriage moves into the home position at any other time during the printer operation, the ON LINE/ALARM indicator flashes at one-second inter- vals. Turn off the printer and then turn it on again. If this does not correct the problem, the printer may need service. ┌────────────────┐ │Internal Error: │ └────────────────┘ When you turn on the printer, it checks the internal memory to be sure that it is functioning correctly. If the printer finds an internal error, the ON LINE/ALARM indicator flashes at 0.3-second intervals. Turn off the print- er and then turn it on again. If this does not correct the problem, the printer may need service.
