Contrast and Brightness:

Use these controls to adjust the screen brightness to compensate for room
lighting.  Rotate either or both controls clockwise to increase brightness;
rotate counterclockwise to decrease brightness.

Also, if you are using high and low intensity characters, the CONTRAST con-
trol can be used to darken only the low intensity characters, thereby 
making the high intensity characters stand out.  The BRIGHTNESS control, on
the other hand, can be used to darken all characters.

Power ON/OFF:

To turn on the VM-5, rock the POWER switch up. The POWER indicator lights.
Rock the POWER switch down to turn off the monitor.

Vertical Hold:

This control stabilizes the display on the screen.  When the display rolls
vertically, rotate the knob fully counterclockwise and then slowly clock-
wise until the display slowly moves up and locks.

Horizontal Hold:

Adjust to eliminate horizontal "tear" on the display. Rotate the knob fully
counterclockwise and then slowly clockwise until the display becomes stable.
