FM Wireless Microphone (330-1076) Hints and Tips Faxback Doc. # 15284 Your Wireless Microphone has a clip on the back that allows it to be attached to ties, lapels and other parts of clothing. You'll notice that your Wireless Microphone gives a greater range when it is located on or against a person's body. It also helps to have the antenna fully extended or hanging vertically. Your Wireless Microphone will still give satisfactory results in locations where this isn't possible (for example, when it is left beside a baby's crib). Experiment with coverage in each location you wish to use your Wireless Microphone. Often moving the unit a few feet can make a tremendous difference in the coverage you get. Another point to remember is that the quality of your FM receiver will have a big impact on the range you get. A good quality FM receiver (such as those found in stereo systems) will give greater range than a small inexpensive portable. Try adding an external antenna (such as Radio Shack's 15-955 dipole) for additional range. The range will be very limited if signals from your Wireless Microphone have to travel through metal structures or frames before reaching the FM receiver. Only one Wireless Microphone can be used at one time. If you want to use more than one Mic at a time, you must use different frequencies for each and a different receiver for each. NOTE: Tampering with your Wireless Microphone or removing its label voids the warranty. This Microphone is FCC approved. Increasing the voltage with different batteries or changing the antenna length is a violation of the FCC rules and may result in damage to your Microphone. FCC rules prohibit the use of this device for eavesdropping. (ALL-07/20/95)
