Wireless Video Microphone (320-1226) Operation Faxback Doc. # 15504 OPERATING THE TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER 1. Set the receiver's POWER OFF/LOW-HI VOLUME switch to either LOW or HI. NOTE: In either the LOW or the HIGH position, the receiver unit is turned on. In addition, these two positions adjust the output level of the EARPHONE jack. 2. Set the transmitter's POWER ON-OFF switch to ON. The receiver's IN USE indicator lights when both transmitter and receiver are turned on. If you turn off either of the two units, or if either unit fails to operate, the IN USE indicator turns off. NOTE: If either BATTERY LOW indicator lights, be sure to replace the battery immediately. 3. Fully extend the receiver's telescoping antenna. 4. Connect the earphone to the receiver's EARPHONE jack. 5. Mount the microphone and its transmitter in your desired location. 6. Set the output level of the receiver's monitor earphone by setting the OFF/LOW-HIGH VOLUME switch to either the LOW or the HIGH position. NOTE: Adjusting this switch does not affect the output of the MIC OUT jack or the recording level. 7. With the microphone at the desired distance, perform a voice check for transmitter and receiver operation by having someone speak into the microphone while you listen on the receiver's monitor earphone. If the speaker's voice cannot be heard on the monitor earphone, carefully repeat Steps 1-6, then re-test. If either unit fails to work and its BATTERY LOW indicator does not light, the battery might be dead. Replace one or both batteries, as necessary, and perform the voice check again. 8. Begin recording. CAUTION: To conserve battery power, be sure you turn off both units when not using them. (br/all-06/02/95)
