INSTALLING THE BATTERY

The radio uses three AA batteries.  For best performance, we recommend
alkaline batteries such as Radio Shack's Cat. No. 23-552.

Follow these steps to install the batteries:

1.  Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow
    and remove the cover.

2.  Install the batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -)
    marked inside the battery compartment.

3.  Replace the cover.

NOTES:  If reception weakens or the sound distorts, replace the batteries.

        If you do not plan to use the radio for a week or more, remove
        the batteries.
