For the best results and longest battery life, we recommend an alkaline battery (such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-553). 1. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to loosen compartments cover's screw and remove the cover. 2. Attach the battery snap in the battery compartment to the 9-volt battery compartment to the 9-volt battery's terminals. Then place the battery in the compartment. 3. Replace the cover and tighten the battery compartment cover's screw. Replace the battery when the BATTERY LOW indicator on the mixer's upper right corner lights. USING AC POWER You can power the mixer with AC power by using an optional 9-volt AC adapter, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 273-1455. CAUTION: The recommended AC adapter supplies 9 volts DC and delivers 300 milliamps. Its plug properly fits the mixer's DC 9V jack and its center tip is set to negative (-). Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could damage the mixer or the adapter. 1. Insert the AC adapter's barrel plug into the DC 9V jack on the back of the mixer. 2.
