BATTERY:     Open the battery compartment on the back by pressing it down
             and off.

             Snap a 9-volt battery (such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-583)
             onto the battery terminals, making sure polarity is correct.
             Then slip the battery into the compartment.

 HEADPHONE:  Fully uncoil the headphone cord and insert the 3.5 mm
             headphone plug into the headphone jack.  Place the headphones
             on your head.  Adjust the headband so that the ear pieces fall
             comfortably over the center of each ear.
