AM/FM Digital Clock Radio (120-1496) Operation Faxback Doc. # 19726 CLOCK SETTING Plug the AC line cord into any standard wall socket. Adjust to the correct time by rotating the Time Set Knob (1) clockwise. Adjust for AM or PM. RADIO (MANUAL) 1. Set the Auto-On-Off Switch (5) to ON. 2. Select the mode with the FM-AM switch (9) on the right side end. 3. Tune to the desired station with the Tuning Control Knob (8), and set the volume with the Volume Control Knob (7). 4. To turn the set OFF, set the Auto-On-OFF Switch (5) to OFF. SLEEP WITH MUSIC 1. Follow the directions outlined for radio operation. However, just before retiring set the Auto-On-Off Switch to AUTO. 2. Rotate the Sleep Knob (3) clockwise for radio play. Maximum clockwise equals 3 hours. One third maximum equals 1 hour etc. The radio will automatically turn OFF at the end of this period. WAKE TO MUSIC Set the Auto-On-Off Switch to AUTO, and set the Alarm Indicator (6) for the desired waking time by rotating the Alarm Set Knob (2) counterclockwise. TO USE SNOOZE BUTTON The "Snooze" feature can be used after the Radio wakes you up. To obtain about 5 minutes more sleep, press down "Snooze" button (4) on top of the radio. This silences the radio. After approximately 5 minutes the Radio will come on again; once again you can tap the "Snooze" button to turn the radio off and get another 5 minutes of sleep. This can be repeated for about 1 hour. After the one hour, the Radio will stay on (until you turn the Auto-On-Off switch to the Off position). FOR PRIVATE LISTENING Insert the earphone plug into the Earphone Jack (10). The built-in speaker will be automatically disconnected. Recommended private listening devices are Realistic hi-fi pillow speaker Cat. No. 33-206 or earphone Cat. 33-175. NOTE Always protect the unit against dust and moisture, and avoid exposure to extreme heat. Radiators, heaters, and stoves may damage the cabinet and its components. Model 12-1496 AM/FM digital clock radio is designed only for AC operation. Never operate unit from a DC power source. To clean the cabinet always use a soft, dry cloth moistened with water or soapsuds. Never use harsh solvents. Always turn unit off after using. Should repairs be necessary DO NOT make them yourself.
