The time on the display advances or reverses by 1 minute each time you press S. FWD or S. REV. The PM indicator lights for PM hours Press and hold F. FWD or F. REV to rapidly set the time. ADJUSTING THE DISPLAY Set DIMMER HIGH/LOW to LOW for nighttime viewing. Set DIMMER HIGH/LOW to HIGH for daytime viewing. PLAYING THE RADIO 1. Set ON/OFF/AUTO/ALARM to ON to turn on the radio. 2. Set AM/FM to the desired band. 3. Turn TUNING to the desired station. 4. Adjust VOLUME to the desired sound level. 5. Turn off the radio by setting ON/OFF/AUTO/ALARM to OFF. Note: The AM antenna is built-in. Rotate the clock radio for best AM reception. Fully extend the AC power cord (which is the FM antenna) for the best FM reception. SETTING THE ALARM TIME You can set an alarm so the buzzer sounds or the radio plays at one or two different times. Follow these steps to set the alarm time. 1. Set ALARM 1 + 2 to ALARM 1. The ALARM 1 indicator lights on the left of the clock display. 2. While holding down ALARM SET, press S. FWD (Slow Forward) or S. REV (Slow Reverse). The time on the display advances or reverses by 1 minute each time you press S. FWD or S. REV. Press and hold down F. FWD (Fast Forward) or F. REV (Fast Reverse) to rapidly change the alarm time. 3. Release ALARM SET when you have set the desired time for the first alarm. 4. Set ALARM 1 + 2 to ALARM 2. The ALARM 2 indicator lights on the left of the clock display. 5. Repeat Steps 2 to 3 to set the desired time for the second alarm. Note: You can set the ALARM 1 + 2 switch to the middle position so both Alarm 1 and ALARM 2 indicators light and the alarms will sound at both alarm times. 6. Set ON/OFF/AUTO/ALARM as follows. ALARM - The buzzer sounds at the wake-up time. AUTO - The radio turns on at the wake-up time. 7. Adjust VOLUME for the desired alarm loudness. To silence the buzzer or radio, set ON/OFF/AUTO/ALARM to OFF. If you do not manually turn off the buzzer or radio, it continues to sound for 59 minutes. Notes: Remember to reset the alarm if you want it to go off at the set wake-up time the next day. The alarm indicator lights on the lower left of the clock display when the buzzer or radio is set to sound. Press ALARM SET to display the set wake-up time. USING THE SNOOZE FEATURE If you want to silence the alarm, but want it to sound again in a few minutes, press SNOOZE. This silences the alarm for about 7 minutes. You can repeat this for up to 1 hour and 59 minutes. After that, the alarm does not sound again until the next day at the specified alarm time. USING THE SLEEP TIMER You can set the radio to play for up to 59 minutes and automatically turn off. Press Sleep to set the sleep timer. The sleep timer is automatically set to 59 minutes. For a playing time of 59 minutes or less, follow these steps. 1. While holding down SLEEP, repeatedly press S. FWD or S. REV until the display shows the desired minute setting. Or, you can press and hold F. FWD or F. REV to rapidly change the minute setting. 2. Release SLEEP. To turn off the radio before the programmed sleep time has elapsed, press ON/OFF/AUTO/ALARM to ON then back to OFF. (br/all-12/27/94)
