Monophonic L-Pad (400-0980) Connections Faxback Doc. # 32308 TWEETER-LEVEL CONTROL Follow these steps if you plan to use your L-pad as a tweeter-level control. NOTE: Solder the speaker wires or use a crimping tool to connect the wires to your L-pad. 1. Connect the crossover network's low-frequency lead to your woofer's positive (+) terminal. 2. Connect your woofer's negative (-) terminal to your tweeter's positive terminal. 3. Connect your crossover network's high-frequency lead to Terminal 3 on your L-pad. 4. Connect the crossover network's common lead to the connection between the woofer and tweeter. 5. Connect the tweeter's negative Terminal 2 on your L-pad. 6. Connect Terminal 1 on your L-Pad to the common lead. VOLUME-LEVEL CONTROL Follow these steps if you plan to use your L-pad as a volume control. 1. Connect your amplifier/receiver's positive (+) speaker output leads to Terminal 1 on your L-pad. Then, connect a wire from Terminal 1 to the speaker's positive terminal. 2. Connect your amplifier/receiver's negative (-) speaker output leads to Terminal 3 on your L-pad. 3. Connect your speaker's negative terminal to Terminal 2 on your L-pad. CAUTION: To prevent a short circuit or damage to your speaker, be sure the speaker wires touch only their intended terminals. (IR-04/26/96)
