Monophonic L-Pad (400-0980) Operation Faxback Doc. # 32309 The primary purposes of this L-pad are to balance the output between the tweeter and woofer in a two-way speaker system or to balance the sound between two speakers in a single room. Carefully read these instructions and cautions before you operate your L-Pad. 1. Set the L-pad's AUDIO LEVEL control to MAX. (maximum). 2. Set the amplifier/receiver's volume to minimum. Then, turn on the amplifier/receiver and set its volume control slightly above the normal listening level. 3. Set the AUDIO LEVEL control for the desired balance or volume. CAUTION: This L-pad is designed for 25 watts of peak music power under certain conditions. If you use the L-pad to totally regulate the volume of a speaker, and turn the L-pad to its lowest setting while the amplifier/receiver operates, the maximum power that it can handle is 12 watts. NOTE: If the volume is inadequate at MAX. (maximum), slightly increase the amplifier/receiver's volume. (IR-04/26/96)
