CAUTIONS: Your vehicle must have a 12-volt DC, negative-ground electrical system. When you are not using your CD player, turn it off and unplug the adapter. Always unplug the adapter from the cigarette lighter socket before you unplug it from your CD player. FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO CONNECT YOUR CD PLAYER TO DC POWER 1. Determine the DC voltage input requirements of your portable CD player. Look for this information on the CD player itself, or in its accompanying owner's manual. 2. Adjust the switch on the bottom of the CD player mount to the proper voltage. 3. Choose the adapter end that correctly first the DC jack on the CD player. Then plug the adapter end into the DC power cord by aligning the polarity marks (+ and -) as specified in the CD player owner's manual. 4. Plug the entire assembly into the CD player. 5. Plug the cigarette lighter adapter into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. The green indicator on the CD player mount lights. NOTE: You can connect the adapter directly to your vehicle's battery.
