Set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin listening. After you begin listening, adjust the volume to a comfortable level. Do not listen at extremely high volume levels. Extended high-volume listening can lead to permanent hearing loss. Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over time, your ears adapt to the volume level, so a volume level that does not cause discomfort might still damage your hearing. Traffic Safety Do not wear the headset while operating a motor vehicle or riding a bicycle. This can create a traffic hazard and is illegal in some areas. Even though you might hear some outside sounds when listening at normal volume levels, the headset still presents a traffic hazard. MEMORY TUNING You can store up to 20 of your favorite stations (10 AM and 10 FM) into memory so you can easily tune to them. Storing a Station in Memory 1. Select the band and station you want to store into memory. 2. Press MEMORY. 1 appears and MEMORY flashes on the display for about 10 seconds. NOTE: If you do not make an entry within 10 seconds, MEMORY disappears and you must begin at Step 2. 3. While MEMORY flashes, repeatedly press M-SELECT until the display shows the memory location number (1-10 for each band) you want to assign to this station. 4. Press MEMORY again. The headset stores the displayed station into the selected memory location. NOTE: If you assign a memory location number that was previously assigned, the new station replaces the old one. 5. To store additional stations, repeat Steps 1-4. Tuning to a Stored Station To tune the headset to a stored station, select the appropriate band and repeatedly press M-SELECT until the desired memory location number appears on the display. To move quickly through the memory locations, press and hold M-SELECT.
