FM Wireless Microphone (320-1229) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 8982 HIGH-PERFORMANCE, 170 MHz Professional FM Wireless Lapel Microphone System POWER THE RECEIVER You can operate the receiver from standard AC power or from a 12-volt DC power source (such as your vehicle battery). Before you connect either power source, be sure the receiver's POWER button is in the out (off) position. To operate the receiver from AC power, plug the power cord into a standard AC outlet. To power the receiver from your vehicle's battery, plug an optional DC power cord (270-1534A) into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Then plug the power cord's other end into the receiver's DC 12.6V jack. CAUTIONS: If the DC power cord is attached, you cannot power the receiver from an AC outlet. Use only UL listed DC power cord that can provide 100 milliamps (mA) at 12 volts with the center contact set to positive (+). CONNECTING THE RECEIVER AUDIO OUTPUTS You can connect the receiver to a line- or microphone-level input on an amplifier, tape recorder, or mixing board. Or, you can use both of the receiver's outputs to connect the receiver to two different inputs. To connect the receiver's LINE output to the line input of an amplifier, tape recorder, or mixing board, use shielded cable with RCA-type connectors on both ends. To connect the receiver's MICROPHONE output to the microphone input of an amplifier, tape recorder, or mixing board, use a shielded cable with a 1/4-inch phone plug on one end and the appropriate connector (phone plug or XLR connector on the other end.
