Your Radio Shack 2-Way Crossover Network is primarily designed for use
with autosound speakers systems. That's why it is built into its own
easily mountable case. Of course, you can also use this crossover network
inside or outside home speaker enclosures.

When designing your speaker systems, you need one crossover network for
each channel (right/left).

WHY DO YOU NEED A CROSSOVER NETWORK

A well-designed loudspeaker system covers the entire audio spectrum from 
20 to 20,000 Hz. No single speaker effectively covers this entire range.
Speakers are specially designed to cover only certain portions of the
audio spectrum. A crossover network divides the audio spectrum into two or
more frequency bands and sends each frequency band to the appropriate 
speakers.

Your 2-Way Crossover Network sends low frequencies to a woofer and high
frequencies to a tweeter. The result is a speaker system that produces a 
smooth frequency response for the entire audio range.
