Car Clock (630-0837) Wiring Faxback Doc. # 32722 Your Clock/Tachometer is designed for negative ground electrical systems only. Red: Connect to positive (+) source of voltage. Yellow: Connect to the voltage output terminal of the ignition switch. With this connection the display will light up only when the ignition is turned on. However, the clock continues to keep accurate time. Black: Connect to negative (-) source of voltage. Green: Connect to the primary terminal side of the ignition coil. White: Connect to the voltage output terminal of the headlight switch. NOTE: If the Clock/ Tachometer does not function, check the fuse. If blown, replace it only with the same size and type (300 mA). If the fuse blows again, check wiring carefully before replacing fuse once more. Notes On Connecting the Tachometer The proper connection point for the Green Tachometer wire can vary from engine to engine ignition system to ignition system. Since there are so many variations, rather than try to list all of them, the most important ones are covered here. If your application is not covered here, you should contact a qulaified mechanic (or the manufacturer of your engine/ ignition system). This unit is designed for use with 12 volt NEGATIVE GROUND electrical systems only.
