AT&T Globalyst 365TPC (12-10633) Personal Communications Center Faxback Doc. # 17454 The AT&T Personal Communications Center ( PCC ) is like a cross between an answering machine and speaker phone, and Microsoft Mail. It has all the functions of a speaker phone, answering machine and email. The PCC does not take up the whole screen, but can me reduced, and minimized in size for answering. When fully opened, the PCC takes up less than half of the screen. From this small screen, you can do the following: receive a fax send a fax start the terminal program (Qmodem) use the speaker phone to make and answer phone calls playback your answering machine messages screen incoming calls put a call on hold flash to a call waiting call manage you mailbox run the PCC setup program get help The Personal Communications Center also supports both kinds of Caller-ID, as well as logging of both incoming and outgoing calls. For regular phone use, simply click on the speaker phone button, dial using mouse or keypad, and talk right into the speakers. The microphone is built into the left speaker. When your call is finished, just click the button again. To answer an incoming call, just click the same button, and say hello. Your speakers will act as both parts of you phone reciever. You can adjust volume of both the microphone, and speakers, right on screen. If you need to put a caller on hold, or mute the call, just click on the approprietly named button. If you choose to let the answering machine take over, just let the phone ring. The PCC will pick it up at the determined number of rings you have setup ( default is 4 ). You can screen the incoming call by clicking on the Screen button. Once a message is received, your Message light will come on, and an LED type indicator will tell you how many calls you have received. You can retrieve your messages by clicking on the Mailbox button, or on the tiny phone icon you get when you receive messages. You can delete messages easily by simply highlighting the message and pressing the delete key. You can store messages you want to keep, and can forward them to other mailboxes, using the Mailbox feature. Remember, you MUST have the PCC opened to answer your phone. It can be full size, small, or minimized on the taskbar, buy must be running in some way. Faxes can be sent by going to the Mailbox and choosing compose. Faxes are received using the Start Fax button on the PCC. A personal phonebook is stored in the PCC for voice and fax calls. You can go right to your terminal program, by clicking on the Terminal button in PCC. In this case, it is Qmodem Pro, but can easily be changed to Hyperterminal or any other by clicking the Setup button on the PCC. A call waiting call is easily handled by clicking on the Flash button.
