This can be accomplished by the following method according to "LAUNCH PAD The Desktop for Kids" manual that ships with the unit: 1) Insert a blank, formatted floppy into drive A: 2) Run File Manager and select drive A: (File Manager is in the Windows directory on the Windows 95 units but doesn't have an icon. You can also Explorer if you wish). 3) From the "Disk" menu option, select "Label Disk". (In Explorer, choose File/Properties then under the General Tab click on the Label field). 4) Enter LAUNCH_PAD as the disk label and press . (In Explorer, click Apply and the OK). **Note** It is important that the disk label is typed EXACTLY as shown above - if it's not, the following procedure will NOT work. Now, whenever the user has forgotten the Adult Password and wishes to exit Launch Pad, they must do the following: 1) Hold down the Shift and Control keys and press P. 2) Insert the Launch Pad Disk 1 (created in procedure above) into drive A:. 3) Select the drive letter from the drop-down list box and click OK. 4) Type in a new password. 5) Tab to or click in the Confirm New Adult Password: field. 6) Confirm your new password by typing it again, and clicking OK.
