Sneaker II (600-4135) Hints and Tips Faxback Doc. # 15193 If the Radio-Controlled Sneaker II does not travel straight, adjust the steering adjustment control on the bottom of the Sneaker II. For maximum range, always keep both antennas straight up and down (and extend the transmitter's antenna fully). When not in use, leave the ON/OFF switch on the top of the Sneaker II OFF. If you do not intend to use the Sneaker II for a few weeks, remove the batteries. When your Sneaker II slows down, or the control range decreases, replace the batteries. If your Sneaker II moves poorly and you have installed fresh batteries, check to see if the wheels have picked up debris. Lint, threads, hair and dust in the wheel bearings can slow down the Sneaker II. Carefully remove such materials from the wheel bearings. You might experience interference from CB radios or other devices that use similar frequencies. Interference will cause your Sneaker II not to operate properly. If this happens, move away from the interfering device. Also, two radio-controlled vehicles that operate on the same frequency cannot be used in the same area without causing interference. Transmission range will depend on surrounding buildings and large metal objects. You'll obtain best results when you operate the Sneaker II out in the open. Do not operate your Sneaker II on sand, mud or thick rugs; do not allow it to go through water or rain (rust can form inside). THE FCC WANTS YOU TO KNOW The Radio-Controlled Sneaker II might cause TV or radio interference even when it is operating properly. To determine whether your Sneaker II is causing the interference, turn it off. If the interference goes away, your Sneaker II is causing the interference. Try to eliminate the interference by: Moving your Sneaker II away from the receiver. Contacting your local Radio Shack store for help. If you cannot eliminate the interference the FCC requires that you stop using your Sneaker II. (LB/all-05/08/95)
