Guitar with Headset Mic (600-2563) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 16091 BATTERY INSTALLATION Your Guitar with Headset Mic uses four AA batteries. We recommend alkaline batteries (such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-552). To install the batteries: 1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the guitar by pressing the tab on the compartment's cover and lifting it in the direction of the arrow marked on the cover. 2. Insert the batteries into the compartment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ or -) marked inside the compartment. 3. Replace the cover. NOTES: If you are not going to use the guitar for a long time, remove the batteries from the compartment. Batteries can leak damaging chemicals. To keep the batteries from running down, always remember to set VOLUME to OFF when you finished using your guitar. When the sound becomes weak, replace all the batteries. Adjusting the Shoulder Strap The shoulder strap allows you to carry the guitar anywhere you go. Follow these steps to attach and adjust the shoulder strap. 1. Insert the strap end down into one of the strap buckles. 2. Loop the strap end under the buckle and pull up on the strap. 3. Insert the free end of the strap back through the buckle and pull the strap end far enough to stop the strap from slipping. 4. Slip the free end out of the buckle and pull up on it. 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for the other strap end. Removing the Shoulder Strap You can remove the Shoulder Strap when you do not need to carry the guitar. Follow these steps to remove the shoulder strap. 1. Hold the buckle. 2. Use your thumb to press and hold the tab on the buckle. 3. Pull to remove the tab. When you need to carry the guitar with the shoulder strap, simply insert the tab back into the slot. (ALL-07/24/95)
