Motor City Racer (600-4142) Battery Faxback Doc. # 16312 CAUTIONS: Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Do not mix old and new batteries. Never leave dead or weak batteries in the racer or the transmitter. If you do not plan to use the racer for several days, remove the batteries. Dispose of batteries promptly and properly; do not bury or burn them. INSTALLING THE TRANSMITTER'S BATTERY The transmitter uses one 9-volt battery. We recommend an alkaline battery, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-553. 1. Slide the battery compartment's cover in the direction of the arrow and lift it open. 2. Insert one 9-volt battery. Be sure the polarity (+ and -) is correct as shown in the battery compartment. 3. Replace the cover. INSTALLING THE RACER'S BATTERIES You need six AA batteries to power the Motor City Racer. We recommend alkaline batteries, such as Cat. No. 23-552. 1. Set OFF/ON on the bottom of the racer to OFF. 2. Slide the battery compartment latch on the bottom of the racer to OPEN. Then lift the cover. 3. Insert the batteries over the ribbon in the battery compartment. Be sure the polarity (+ and -) is correct as shown in the compartment. 4.
