3 In 1 Draw Poker (600-2484) Playing the Game Faxback Doc. # 18337 Your 3 in 1 Draw Poker game deals you five different electronic "cards" across its display. Each card's suit symbol (heart, diamond, club, or spade) appears below it on the display. You tell the machine to hold the cards you want to keep, and/or draw one or more new cards, in order to get a winning poker combination and score points. Follow these steps to play the game. 1. If the game is off, press DEAL/DRAW to turn it on. The past game's point total and cards appear, and GAME OVER flashes on the display. NOTES: If you stop playing the game for about 1 minute, it automatically turns off to save battery power, saving the last game's settings and point total in memory. If HOLD or DRAW flashes instead of GAME OVER, this means that the last game's hand was not finished before the game turned off (see Step 4). The game automatically awards you 100 points to start the first game each time you install batteries or reset it by removing and reinserting the batteries. 2. Select the type of poker game you want to play-DRAW POKER, WILD CARD POKER, or DEUCES POKER. In DRAW POKER, there are no wild cards. Each time you install batteries or reset the game, it automatically selects DRAW POKER. NOTE: The game is set to DRAW POKER when neither JOKER or DEUCES appears on the display. In WILD CARD POKER, jokers are wild. You can substitute a joker for any other card of any suit. For example, two 10s (of any suit) and a joker equal three of a kind. To play WILD CARD POKER, press GAME until JOKER appears on the display. In DEUCES POKER, DEUCES (2s) are wild. If the game deals you a deuce, you can substitute it for any other card of any suit. For example, two 9s (of any suit) and two deuces equal four of a kind. To play DEUCES POKER, press GAME until DEUCES appears on the display. 3. To start the game, press DEAL/DRAW. The game automatically deducts a 5-point bet from your point total on the display, deals you 5 cards, then HOLD or DRAW flashes on the display. 4. Press the HOLD button for each card you want to keep. HELD appears next to the card (s). For example, to keep the 1st and 5th cards (from the left), press the 1st and 5th HOLD buttons. NOTES: If you decide you want to discard a card after HELD appears next to it, simply press its HOLD BUTTON AGAIN so HELD disappears. You can choose to discard all five cards if the game deals a bad hand. 5. Press DEAL/DRAW again. The game deals you new cards to replace those cards you did not hold. If you win, GAME OVER, WIN, and the winning cards flash on the display, the red light on top of the game flashes, and the machine automatically adds the points you won to your total. NOTE: The winning combinations and points awarded for each type of poker are shown in the tables above the display. If you lose, GAME OVER flashes on the display. 6. To play again, repeat steps 3-5. NOTE: Each time the point total reaches 0, the game automatically adds another 100 points to the total so you can play again. Playing for a Jackpot To set the game to pay out a jackpot and ring its bell when you win, set JACKPOT BELL to ON, then insert one or more coins before you begin to play. The next time you hit any winning combination, the game pays out all coins, flashes its red light, and rings the jackpot bell. To play for points only, set JACKPOT BELL to OFF. NOTE: If you insert a coin (s) when JACKPOT BELL is set to OFF, the game does not pay out the coin(s), either set JACKPOT BELL to ON again so it pays out the next time you win, or press the manual coin release lever inside the coin return slot. USING THE SAVINGS BANK To use the game as a bank, insert coins in the coin slot on top of the game. To collect the savings from inside the game, press the tab on the savings compartment cover, then remove the cover. (PH 11/7/95)
