Racing Team 18 Wheeler (600-4156) Using The Trailer Faxback Doc. # 18785 You can use the tractor to pull the supplied trailer. Connecting/Disconnecting the Trailer NOTE: The trailer is easier to connect to the tractor if both are on the same level surface. If you have enough driving skill, you can back the tractor up onto the trailer using the transmitter (see "Driving the Tractor," Faxback Doc. # 18782). The load pin on the front of the trailer automatically locks into the load pad on the back of the tractor. To connect the tractor and trailer manually, simply push the front of the trailer forward onto the load pad on the back of the tractor until you hear a click. To drive the tractor away from the trailer, press and hold down the trailer disconnect button on the front of the transmitter until you hear a click, drive the tractor forward to disconnect it, then release the button. Or, to manually disconnect the trailer from the tractor, simply lift the trailer straight up. Opening/Closing the Trailer's Doors You can load and unload cargo through the trailer's back doors. To open the doors, slide up the bar on the right door until it stops, then pull the doors open. To close the doors, push both doors closed, then slide the bar down to latch them. Removing/Attaching the Trailer's Cover The trailer's removable cover protects cargo you load into the trailer. You can remove the cover to quickly convert the trailer to a flatbed hauler, then use the supplied ramp to load and unload it. To remove the cover, press and hold down the tab under the doors on the back of the trailer, then lift off the cover. To re-attach the cover, slide the tabs on the front of the flatbed into the holes on the front of the cover, then press down on the back of the flatbed until it clicks. Attaching the Ramp to the Flatbed NOTE: You must remove the trailer's cover from the flatbed before you can attach the ramp. Slide the ramp's tab into the slot on the back of the flatbed to attach it. WHEEL ALIGNMENT If the 18 Wheeler does not go in a straight line when you release the right control lever, adjust the front wheel alignment control on the bottom of the tractor. Slide the control toward the right if the 18 Wheeler is pulling to the left, or toward the left if the 18 Wheeler is pulling to the right. (PH 12/4/95)
