If your racer does not operate properly, check the following:

    Be sure that the transmitter's batteries are fresh and that the
    racer's battery pack is fully charged.

    Be sure that the batteries are properly installed/connected.

    Check for interference from other nearby radio-controlled devices.
    Interference can also come from overhead high-voltage wires and
    power transformers.

    Be sure the racer is not out of the transmitter's range.  The
    range varies depending on the surrounding terrain and battery
    strength.  If anything (buildings, fences, and so on) is between
    the transmitter and the racer, the range is reduced.
