Radio-Controlled American Speedster (600-4147) Operation Faxback Doc. # 32108 DRIVING THE AMERICAN SPEEDSTER WARNING: Never play with your American Speedster in the street. CAUTIONS: Do not use the American Speedster on a wet floor, on sand, or in mud, rain, or snow. These can damage it. If the American Speedster moves slowly, and you have installed fresh batteries or recharged the rechargeable batteries, check the wheel mechanisms and remove any lint, hair, or dust you find. 1. Set ON/OFF on the left side of the American Speedster to ON. 2. Set L-H on the back of the American Speedster to: H (High) for driving on a smooth surface. L (Low) for driving on a rough surface or climbing slopes. NOTE: If you cannot easily move L-H turn the American Speedster's back wheels by hand. Then try again. 3. Use the transmitter's control levers as follows: Left Control Lever Push forward to move forward (F). Push forward all the way for turbo power (T). Pull back to move backward (B). Release to stop (O). Right Control Level Push left to move left (L) Push right to move right (R) Release to go straight (S). 4. When you finish driving the American Speedster, set ON/OFF to OFF. WHEEL ALIGNMENT If the American Speedster does not go in a straight line when you release the right control lever, adjust the front wheel alignment control on the bottom of the American Speedster. Use a coin to turn the wheel alignment control toward the right if the American Speedster is pulling to the right, or toward the left if the American Speedster is pulling to the left.
