Technophone (170-1066) Additional Information Faxback Doc. # 15105 AUDIBLE TONES Ring Tone - A repeating tone, indicating an incoming call. Keypress Tone - A single tone denoting a valid keypress. Call Termination Tone - Three long tones which indicate that the network is busy or has terminated the call. Low Battery Tone - A single tone, indicating that the battery charge is low, which sounds every 5 minutes if the telephone is in standby mode or every minute if the telephone is in a call. The message "Battery Low" will be displayed at the same time. Recharge Battery Tone - A tone which sounds when the battery is extremely low, and will no longer operate the telephone. The message "Recharge Battery" will be displayed at the same time. Telephone will switch off within 10 seconds. Call Roamed Tone - A tone which sounds when the home area is selected (Roaming menu option), and when the call has roamed to a non-home system. The message "Call Roamed" will be displayed at the same time. Error Tone - A single long tone indicating that you have made a keying error. EMERGENCY SERVICES Emergency calls can always be made, even if the telephone is locked. To make an emergency call: 1. If the telephone is off, press and hold PWR. 2. Dial the normal emergency telephone number then, press SEND to initiate the call. 3. Ask the operator for the service required. 4. Give the location of the incident to the emergency service operator. NOTE: If "Enter PIN" message appears, press STO, and continue as described above. If "LOCK" message appears (keyboard is locked), the emergency number will appear on the entry of last digit.
