Your Radio Shack TAD-1000 Multi-user Digital Telephone Answering System is
a sophisticated message center that groups recorded messages for up to four
different users.  The caller can choose to leave a message for a specific
person or department.

Fully digital means the TAD stores all messages on a computer chip.  This
allows advanced capabilities like deleting a single message.  Because it
is fully digital, there are not tape mechanisms to wear out and not tapes
to bother with.

Its features include:

        Four User Mailboxes - let you store and play back messages for up
                              to four different users.

Digitally-Synthesized Voice - guides you through operation of the system.

          Announcement Only - lets you give information to callers without
                              recording their messages.

                LED Display - shows the total number of messages and memory
                              available.

           Message Counters - announce the number of messages the TAD
                              recorded for each user.

            Time/Date Stamp - tells you the time, day, and date each
                              message was recorded.

             Call Screening - lets you listen as a caller leaves a message
                              so you can decide whether or not to answer
                              the call.

    Phone Pick-Up Detection - stops recording when you pick up any phone
                              on the same line as the TAD and resets to
                              answer the next call.

           Data Compression - automatically compresses periods of silence
                              to allow message storage of up to 17 minutes.

                       Memo - lets you record reminders for yourself or
                              others.

               Room Monitor - lets you listen from a remote phone to the
                              room where you install the TAD.

      Double Speed Playback - lets you browse through messages at twice
                              the normal playback speed.

           Remote Operation - lets you use a touch-tone phone or pocket
                              tone dialer to operate the TAD while you're
                              away from your home or office.

 Programmable Security Code - lets you set your own security code for
                              remote operation.

           Remote Answer-On - lets you call the TAD from a remote location
                              and set it to answer calls.

                  Toll-Saver - lets you avoid unnecessary fees when you
                               call by long-distance to check your
                               messages.

This TAD has been tested and found to comply with all applicable UL and
FCC standards.
