CONNECTING TO A MODULAR WALL PLUG

Note:  The phone company can charge you for the installation of the
       necessary jacks.  The USOC number of the jack to be installed is
       RJ11C.

USING THE PHONE

Set the ringer to sound a high- or low-volume ring, or not to sound at all.
You can make and receive calls with the ringer off.

Press to disconnect a call.

Switch to TONE or PULSE to match the type of service you have.

If you have pulse (rotary) service, you can press TONE during a call to
use tone services.

Press FLASH to produce a time switchhook signal for special services such
as call waiting.

NOTE:  If you do not subscribe to any special services, pressing FLASH
       might disconnect the call.

Press and hold PRIVACY to carry on a conversation with someone in the room
without being overheard by the person on the phone.

Press REDIAL to dial the last number dialed (up to 31 tone or 32 pulse
digits).

Plug the handset cord into the jacks on the handset and base.
