AFX-160 Fax Switch

Q:  The AFX-160 when hooked up to a TAD-265 (430-0730) or TAD-276
    (430-0762) always switches to Fax instead of the telephone.

A:  If either of these answering machines (TAD-265 or TAD-276) is slightly
    off spec, they might generate an 1100 Hz tone to tell you to leave a
    message. This can eventually activate the fax line on the fax switch.
