ON/OFF - turns the pager on/off, selects audible or silent mode, and 
         selects built-in menus for pager set-up.

BACKSCROLL and FORWARD - let you read messages, scroll backward or forward
                         through messages with more than 12 characters, and
                         select built-in menus for pager set-up.

NOTE:  Press and hold down ON/OFF, BACKSCROLL, or FORWARD to light up the
       display for viewing at night or in dimly lit areas.

DISPLAY INDICATORS

12-Character Display - displays up to 12 numbers, message tags, and status
                       indicators.

Day Indicator - shows the current day of the week.

RP (Repeat Page) - indicates a duplicate message was received.

Audio Alert Indicator - shows that a tone will sound when a message is
                        received.

Alarm Mode Indicator - shows that the time, day, or date alarm is active.

Date Indicator - shows the date.

Message Indicator - shows how many messages you have received.

Message Continued - shows when a message longer than 12 characters is 
                    received.
