DISPLAY WINDOW AND OPTION BUTTONS

Using the unique display window and three buttons, you will teach names
and numbers, find names and numbers, set special features and codes, and
dial "single touch " memory numbers.

When the phone is not in use, the top line of the window shows the current
time and date. The bottom line displays messages about the telephone line
or special features. A small symbol indicates whether security is on or
off.

MESSAGE                  Telephone Line Status

"             "          The telephone line is free.

NO LINE-                 The telephone cord is not connected to the phone,
                         or the connection is bad.

BUSY                     An extension phone on the line is in use.

ON HOLD                  HOLD was presses and the other party is holding.

RING                     The telephone is ringing.

MUTE ON                  MUTE was pressed and the handset microphone is
                         muted.

MESSAGE                  Power Supply Status

NO AC                    The AC power has been disconnected.

LOW BATTS                The batteries are low and need to be replaced.
