Caller ID System 240 (430-0962) Features Faxback Doc. # 18702 The Radio Shack Caller ID System 240 is the latest in telephone technology. When you order Caller ID service, the telephone company sends the caller's name, telephone number, the date, and the time of the call between the first and second rings. This module stores up to 64 caller ID messages that have telephone number only or 25 caller ID messages that have both the name and telephone number. The module has these features: Easy Installation - lets you quickly begin to use the module. Large Display - makes it easy to see the caller information. Built-In Error Checking - ensures accurate information. Contrast Control - lets you adjust the display contrast for the best readability. This module has been tested and found to comply with all applicable UL and FCC standards. NOTES: To use this module, you must be in an area where Caller ID services is available, and you must subscribe to the service. The module only displays the name if your telephone company sends this information. LIGHTNING This system has built-in protection circuits to reduce the risk of damage from surges in phone and power line current. These protection circuits meet or exceed the FCC requirements. However, lightning striking the phone or power lines can damage the system. Lightning damage is not common. Nevertheless, if you live in an area that has severe electrical storms, we suggest that you unplug the module during storms to reduce the possibility of damage. (CS 12/7/95)
