Damage to the cord may result in fire or electric shock. If the cord or plug is damaged or gets frayed, do not continue to use it. Contact your local Sony dealer for replacement. To remove the AC power adaptor from an AC outlet, pull on the plug. (Do not pull on the cord.) Do not attempt to disassemble the casing. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only. Do not put foreign objects into the base unit. Should any liquid or solid object fall into the base unit, unplug the unit and have it checked by qualified personnel before operating the unit any further. Do not put anything in the DC IN 9V (external power input) jack. Do not drop the unit as a malfunction may result. Keep the battery packs away from fire. Do not short circuit the battery terminals. Do not disassemble the battery packs. ON POWER SOURCE Before initial use, insert one of the battery packs into the base unit and charge it for 10 hours. Operate the base unit only on 9V DC. Use the AC power adaptor supplied with the unit. Do not use any other AC power adapters as they may cause malfunction. Plug the base unit into an AC outlet which has a continuous power supply. Avoid outlets where power may be cut off. Store the battery packs at a temperature between 5 degrees C (41 degrees F) and 35 degrees C (95 degrees F) for best performance. ON INSTALLATION Do not expose the base unit to: heat sources such as radiators or air ducts. extremely low temperatures. direct sunlight. excessive dust. moisture or rain. mechanical vibration or shock. inclined position. devices (such as speaker or TV) which contain magnets or generate magnetic fields.
