Krystalite Neon Phone (430-0809) - Pink Troubleshooting Faxback Doc. # 34002 (430-0810) - Blue If your phone does not operate or operates poorly, check the connections between the wall jack and the phone. Occasionally, you might make a call on a noisy line; complex equipment automatically switches and routes calls. If the call is too noisy, try hanging up and redial the number. If you continue to have difficulties placing or receiving calls, disconnect the phone immediately. If other phones on the same line work properly, the fault is in the phone you are using, or its installation. If you are unable to locate the problem, take your phone to a nearby Radio Shack store for assistance. THE FCC WANTS YOU TO KNOW In the unlikely event that your telephone causes problems on the telephone line, the telephone company can disconnect your service. The telephone company attempts to notify you in advance. If advance notice is not practical, the telephone company notifies you as soon as possible and advises you of your right to file a complaint with the FCC. The telephone company can also change its lines, equipment, operations, or procedures that could affect the operation of this telephone. The telephone company notifies you of these changes in advance, so that you can take the necessary steps to prevent interruption of your telephone service. LIGHTNING Your telephone has built-in protection circuits to reduce the risk of damage from surges in telephone line and power line current. These protection circuits meet or exceed the FCC requirements. However, lightning striking the telephone or power lines can damage your telephone. Lightning damage is not common. If you live in an area that has severe electrical storms, we suggest that you unplug your telephone cord and the adapter during storms to reduce the possibility of damage. (BR/EB 7/1/96)
