The EC-442 64K Electronic Organizer with World Time and Map is an example
of superior design and craftsmanship.  The following suggestions will help
you care for the EC-442 so you can enjoy it for years.

    Keep the EC-442 dry.  If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
    Liquids can contain minerals that corrode the electronic circuits.

    Use only fresh, UL listed lithium batteries of the correct size and
    type in the EC-442.  Always remove old or weak batteries.  They can
    leak chemicals that destroy electronic circuits.

    Handle the EC-442 gently and carefully.  Dropping it can damage circuit
    boards and cases and can cause the databank to work improperly.

    Use and store the EC-442 only in normal temperature envirionments.
    Temperature extremes can shorten the life of electronic devices,
    damage the batteries, and distort or melt plastic parts.

    Keep the EC-442 away from dust and dirt, which can cause premature
    wear of parts.

    Wipe the EC-442 with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
    Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to
    clean the EC-442.

    Do not bend or twist the EC-442.  Carrying it in a pants pocket
    could subject it to bending and twisting.

    Never try to take the EC-442 apart.

    Do not press the keys of EC-442 with a pen, pencil, or other sharp
    object.

Modifying or tampering with the EC-442's internal components can cause a
malfunction and might invalidate the warranty and void your FCC
authorization to operate it.  If EC-442 is not performing as it should,
take it to your local Radio Shack store for assistance.
