LED Easy Set Alarm (630-0750) Power Faxback Doc. # 16334 Clock CONNECTING POWER To power the alarm clock, plug the clock's power cord into a standard AC outlet. When you first plug in the clock, the display flashes. It stops flashing when you set the time. The display also flashes if AC power is interrupted and a back battery is not installed. INSTALLING A BACK-UP BATTERY Install a 9-volt battery (not supplied) in your alarm clock for backup power. We recommend an alkaline battery, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-553. NOTE: To prevent unnecessary drain on the battery, connect the clock to a standard AC outlet before you install the battery. 1. Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow to open it. 2. Snap the battery into the terminals and place it inside the compartment. CAUTION: Use only a battery of the required size and type. 3. Replace the cover. NOTES: If you have installed a back-up battery, the display turns off during a power failure. However, the clock continues to run for about 8 hours and the alarm sounds at the preset alarm time. If the entire display flashes when power is restored after a power failure, replace the battery and reset the clock. When the BATTERY SENTINEL indicator on the right side of the display lights, replace the battery. (ALL-08/04/95)
