You must remove the plastic battery insulating tape before you use the
stopwatch.

1.  Insert a coin into the slot on the battery compartment cover and turn
    it counterclockwise to remove the cover.

2.  Remove the insulation tape.

3.  Place the battery with its plug (+) side up.

4.  Place the battery cover on the stopwatch with the cover's dot lined up
    with the mark on the back of the stopwatch.  Then gently press down the
    cover and turn it clockwise to secure it in place.

When the display dims or the stopwatch works erratically, replace the
battery with a fresh button-cell battery (such as Radio Shack Cat. No.
23-009 or 23-115)

WARNINGS:  Promptly dispose of the old battery.

           Never incinerate a battery.

           Never let children play with a battery.  Swallowing a battery
           could be fatal.  Call a physician at once if one is swallowed.
