SETTING THE ALARM TIME FOR THE FIRST TIME

1.  While holding down SPACE, press A. HH-MM A/P appears with an alarm
    symbol on the right of the display.

2.  Enter the desired hour and minutes (enter a 0 before a single-digit
    hour or minute). For example, enter 1:00 PM like this -0100P. 

NOTE:  If the information you enter is invalid (for example, you enter 15
       for the hour), the display remains blank and waits for a valid
       entry.

After you press A or P, the alarm time you entered is stored.

To view the alarm time, press and hold SPACE while you press A.

TURNING THE ALARM ON AND OFF

1.  While holding down SPACE, press A. The alarm time appears on the
    display.

2.  Continue to hold down SPACE and press A again to turn the alarm on
    or off.  When the alarm symbol appears, the alarm is turned on.  When
    the alarm symbol disappears the alarm is turned off.

When the alarm is on and the alarm time is reached, your EC-342 sounds
eight beeps. You can press any key to silence the alarm before it stops
beeping. The alarm will sound again in 24 hours unless you have it turned
off.

CHANGING THE ALARM TIME

1.  While holding down SPACE, press A. The current alarm time appears
    on the display.

2.  Hold down EDIT for about 2 seconds. HH-MM A/P appears on the display.

3.  Enter the new alarm time. After you press A or P, the new time is
    stored.
