USING THE CLOCK

The buttons used to set the clock are located on the bottom of the clock.

CHOOSING 12- or 24- HOUR TIME

You can set the clock to a 12-hour or 24- hour format.  Press 12/24 until 
the clock announces your desired setting.

NOTE:  If you set the clock to a 12- hour setting, PM appears on the
       display when the clock shows a PM time.

SETTING/HEARING THE TIME

1.  Repeatedly press (or press and hold down) HOUR to set the correct hour.
    The clock announces each hour.

    Note:  PM appears on the left of the display when the clock is set to a
    PM hour in the 12-hour format.

2.  Repeatedly press (or press and hold down) MIN to set the correct
    minute.  The clock announces each minute.

    NOTE:  If you press and hold down MIN, the minute setting advances in 
           5-minute increments.  If you press, release, and press MIN
           again, the minutes advance in 1-minute increments.

To hear the time, press the button located on top of the clock once.

Set VOLUME to HI/LO as desired.

SETTING THE ALARM

Setting the Alarm Time

1.  Press and hold ALARM SET.  The clock announces the alarm time and 
    AL appears on the display.

2.  After pressing ALARM SET, set the time as described in "Setting/Hearing
    the Time."  If you do not press any keys for about 3 seconds after
    pressing ALARM SET, the current time returns to the display.

    To view/hear the alarm time, press ALARM SET.

Turning ON/OFF the Alarm

To Turn on the alarm, press ALARM ON/OFF so the clock announces "Alarm on"
and the alarm time.  

NOTE:  AL disappears when the display returns to the current time.

When the alarm sounds, the clock announces the alarm time.  Press ALARM ON/
OFF to turn off the alarm.

NOTE:  If you do not turn off the alarm, it announces the alarm time
       continuously for about 30-40 seconds, then resets to sound at the
       preset alarm time the next day.

To silence the alarm, press the button located on top of the clock.  The 
clock beeps twice and announces the time.  You can also press ALARM ON/OFF
to silence the alarm.  The clock announces "Alarm off" and the alarm time.

To turn the alarm back on, press ALARM ON/OFF again.

AUTO-ANNOUNCE

For the clock to sound a beep and announce the hour at the beginning of the
hour, set AUTO-ANNOUNCE ON/OFF to ON.  Picture of a bell appears on the 
display.  The clock sounds four beeps to confirm the change in the setting.

To turn off the beep and announcement, set AUTO-ANNOUNCE ON/OFF to OFF.
The picture of a bell disappears from the display and the clock sounds
four beeps.
