To view the alarm time, select the time display appears. To view the alarm time, select the time display, then press S1. To view the date, select the time display, then press S2. To select the calculator, repeatedly press C until 0. appears on the display. SETTING THE TIME AND DATE You can set the clock for 12- or 24-hour format. You can select US (month/day) or European (day/month) style. If you select the 12-hour format, AM or PM appears above the hour. NOTE: While setting the time and date, if you do not press a button for 1 minute, the watch returns to the time display. Follow these steps to set the time and date. 1. Press and hold down C until AL appears on the display. 2. Press C again. The current time setting appears and the seconds flash. 3. Press S1 to set the seconds to 00. 4. Press S2. The minutes flash. Repeatedly press S1 to change the minute setting. 5. Press S2. The hour and AM or PM flash. Repeatedly press S1 to change the hour setting. 6. Press S2. The date setting appears on the display. The month flashes. Repeatedly press S1 to change the month setting. 7. Press S2. The date flashes. Repeatedly press S1 to change the date setting. 8. Press S2. The year flashes. Repeatedly press S1 to change the year setting. NOTE: You can set the year to any year from 1980 to 2019. 9. Press S2. The dot and day indicators flash. Repeatedly press S1 to move the dot to select the day. 10. Press S2. 12H or 24H appears on the display. Repeatedly press S1 to change the time format. 11. Press S2. CA appears with US or EU flashing. Repeatedly press S1 to change the date format. 12. Press C to return to the time display. You must reset the time and date during a leap year. SETTING THE ALARM TIME You can set the alarm to sound for 20 seconds at the set time. 1. Press and hold down C until AL appears on the display. 2. Repeatedly press S1 to change the hour setting. 3. Press S2. The minutes flash. 4. Repeatedly press S1 to change the minute setting. 5. Press C to store the alarm time and return to the time display. NOTE: When you set the alarm time, the alarm automatically turns on. TURNING THE ALARM AND CHIME ON/OFF You can set the watch to sound a chime on the hour. You can also set an alarm to sound daily. (To set the alarm time, see "Setting the Alarm Time." To turn the alarm and chime on and off, follow these steps. 1. Repeatedly press C until the time display appears. 2. Press and hold down S1. 3. While you hold down S1, repeatedly press S2 until the display you want appears. ((((( Alarm On (((( flashing Alarm and Chime On No Symbol Alarm and Chime Off The set alarm sounds for 20 seconds at the set alarm time. To silence the alarm sooner, press any key except - or X. USING THE CALCULATOR You can do standard arithmetic calculations, power calculations, and reciprocal calculations. To begin using the calculator, repeatedly press C until 0. appears on the display. To cancel the last entry, press C. To clear the display for the next calculation, repeatedly press C until 0. appears. NOTES: In the calculator mode, the watch beeps each time you press a button. If the result of a calculation is more than 8 digits long or if you attempt to divide by 0, E appears in the display's top right corner and the calculator stops further calculation. Press C so the E disappears. Then press C so the display resets to 0. ENTERING STANDARD CALCULATIONS For standard calculations, press the buttons in the order they appear in an arithmetic operation. For example: You press: You see: 3 + 4= 7. 8 x 3 - 4= 20. NOTE: To enter a negative number, first press -. Then enter the number and press one of the calculation keys (+, -, x, or /). - appears in the display's top left corner to indicate that the number is negative. The calculator cannot subtract, multiply, or divide two negative numbers. COMPUTING SQUARES Follow this example to compute square calculations. To calculate: Press: You see: 2^2 2 x = 4.
