SETTING/VIEWING THE DATE AND TIME

The EC-359 displays the time, month, date, and day of the week.

Follow these steps to set the date and time.

1.  Press SYSTEM.  The display shows the system setting screen with the
    set date and time.

2.  Press ENTER.  (This is the small right triangular shaped key on the
    lower left hand side of the keyboard.)  The date's first digit flashes
    on the display.

3.  Enter the current date.  The month is highlighted.

    Note:  Precede all single-digit entries with a zero.  For example, 
    enter the fifth day of the month as 05.

4.  Repeatedly press ^ (LAST) or v (NEXT) to select the current month.
    (These are the up and down arrows on the right side of the [SPACE]
    bar.)

5.  Press > (FWD or FORWARD).  (This is the right arrow key in the upper
    right hand corner.)  The year's first digit flashes.

6.  Enter the year, hour and minute.

    Note:  Precede all single-digit entries with a zero.

7.  Press A or P to set the clock to AM or PM.

8.  Press the return key (RECALL or RETURN) to store the settings.  The 
    display shows the date, month, year, time, and A (for AM) or P (for
    PM).

NOTE:  If you enter invalid digits (for example, 32 for the day),  the 
       EC-359 beeps and the first digit of the date flashes again.  Repeat
       Steps 3-8 to enter the correct date and time.

To view the date and time at any time, simply press SCHEDULE.  The display
shows the month and year and a calendar with the current day highlighted,
and the time is displayed in both analog and digital format on the right
of the display.

NOTE:  Only the menu key will turn on the unit if display goes off due to
       no entries for five minutes.


TURNING THE KEY TONE ON AND OFF

You can set the EC-359 to beep each time you press a key.

Follow these steps to turn the key tone on or off.

1.  Press SYSTEM.

2.  Press the solid v twice, then press > (FWD or FORWARD) once.  A
    flashing arrow appears next to KEY TONE on the display.

3.  Press SPACE to turn the key tone on or off. A bell icon appears to 
    the right of the KEY TONE on the display when the key tone is on, a
    bell icon with a slash through it appears when the key tone is off.

4.  Press MENU to return to the main menu screen.

    NOTE:  You can also press < (REV or REVERSE) to change other system
           settings.
