INSTALLING/REPLACING THE BATTERY

You need to install the supplied LR44 button-cell battery before you use
your timer/clock.

1.  Insert a coin into the groove on the battery compartment cover and
    turn it counterclockwise.

2.  If necessary, use a small screwdriver to pry out the old battery.

    CAUTIONS:  Never allow children to play with a battery.  It can be
               harmful or fatal if swallowed.

               Always dispose of an old battery promptly and properly.

3.  Insert the fresh battery with the positive (+) side facing up.

    NOTES:  Do not handle the new battery.  Install it using clean
            gloves, or a clean, soft cloth.  Fingerprint oil will shorten
            the battery life.

            The timer/clock beeps when you install the battery.

4.  Replace the cover.

NOTE:  If the timer/clock does not work when you install the battery,
       remove it and install it again.

When the display dims or the alarm sounds weaken, replace the battery.  We
recommend an alkaline battery, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-115.
