SETTING/HEARING THE TIME

1.  Press and hold down TIME SET on top of the clock.

2.  Adjust VOLUME to a comfortable listening level.

    The clock announces the time.  While holding down TIME SET, repeatedly
    press (or press and hold down) HOUR until the correct hour appears.

    NOTE:  The PM indicator on the display lights when you set the time to
           a PM hour.

3.  While holding down TIME SET, repeatedly press (or press and hold down)
    MINUTE until the correct minute appears.  When you press and hold
    MINUTE, the minute setting advances in 5-minute increments.

    NOTE:  When you hold down HOUR or MINUTE, the clock continues to
           announce the advancing hours or minutes until you release all
           buttons.

4.  Release TIME SET when the correct time appears.

To hear the time, press TALK once.

SETTING THE ALARM TIME

1.  Press and hold down ALARM SET.  The clock announces the alarm time.

2.  While holding down ALARM SET, set the time as explained in "SETTING/
    HEARING the Time," above.

3.  Set BEEP/ANNOUNCE to BEEP or ANNOUNCE.  In the BEEP mode, the alarm
    beeps without announcing the time.  In the ANNOUNCE mode, the alarm
    beeps and announces the time.

Once the alarm time is set, the current time appears on the display.  To
view the alarm time, press ALARM SET.

Using the Alarm

After you set the alarm time, follow these steps to turn on the alarm.

1.  Slide ALARM ON/OFF to ON.  The clock announces the ALARM ON time.  The
    ALARM indicator lights.

2.  When the alarm sounds, set ALARM ON/OFF to OFF to turn off the alarm. 
    The clock announces the ALARM OFF time.

    NOTE:  You can temporarily turn off the alarm for about 10 minutes by
           pressing SNOOZE (see "Using the Snooze Feature") below.

3.  Slide ALARM ON/OFF back to ON to reset the alarm to sound at the
    present time the next day.  The clock announces the ALARM ON time
    again.

    If you do not turn off the alarm, it sounds for about 1 hour, then
    automatically resets to sound at the preset alarm time the next day.

Using the Snooze Feature

To temporarily turn off the alarm, press SNOOZE while the alarm sounds. 
The alarm turns off for about 10 minutes and then sounds again.  Slide
ALARM ON/OFF to OFF and then back to ON to reset the alarm to sound at the
preset time the next day.

NOTE:  You can press SNOOZE up to five times to repeat the alarm on/off
       cycle.

SETTING AUTO ANNOUNCE

To set the clock to sound a chime and announce the hour at the beginning
of each hour, set AUTO ANNOUNCE IN/OUT to IN.  The clock announces "Auto
announce on."

To turn off the chime and announcement, slide AUTO ANNOUNCE IN/OUT to OUT.
The clock announces "Auto announce off."

USING THE DIMMER CONTROL

Set DIMMER LOW/HIGH to adjust the brightness of the clock's display.  For
normal light, use the HIGH setting.  For low light or darkness, use the
LOW setting.
