ADJUSTING THE CLOCK'S VOLUME 

Switch VOLUME LO/HI to HI to increase the volume of the clock's chime and 
announcements, or to LO to reduce the volume. 

SETTING THE TIME 

1.  Press MODE.  The clock beeps once and the set time or 12:00 flashes. 
    ALARM and CHIME also appear on the display if the alarm and chime 
    are set. 

2.  Repeatedly press HOUR to set the current hour.  Each time you press 
    HOUR, the clock chimes and announces the hour, and the display shows 
    P (for a PM hour) and the hour. 

    If you press and hold down HOUR, the hour continuously advances. 

3.  Repeatedly press MINUTE to set the current minute.  Each time you 
    press MINUTE, the clock chimes and announces the minute, and the     
    display shows the minute. 

    If you press and hold down MINUTE, the minutes continuously advance. 

4.  Press MODE.  The clock beeps twice. 

5.  Press MODE again.  The clock beeps three times, and the current time 
    appears. 

USING THE ALARM 

The alarm crows like a rooster at the set alarm time. 

Follow these steps to set the alarm time. 

1.  Press MODE once.  The clock beeps once. 

2.  Press MODE again.  The clock beeps twice, AL appears, and the set 
    alarm time or 12:00 flashes.  CHIME also appears on the display if 
    the chime is set. 

3.  Repeatedly press HOUR to set the alarm hour. 

    If you press and hold down HOUR, the hour continuously advances. 

4.  Repeatedly press MINUTE to set the alarm minute. 

    If you press and hold down MINUTE, the minutes continuously advance. 

5.  Press MODE.  The clock beeps three times, and the current time 
    appears. 

After you set the alarm time, the alarm is automatically set, and ALARM 
appears on the display. 

At the preset alarm time, the alarm sounds for 1 minute, then 
automatically turns off.  To silence the alarm before it automatically 
turns off, press the large button on the front of the clock.  The clock 
chimes and announces the current time. 

To turn off the alarm so it will not sound again 24 hours later, press 
HOUR until ALARM disappears.  The clock beeps once.  To turn on the alarm 
again, press HOUR until ALARM appears.  The clock beeps four times and 
announces and displays the alarm time. 

ANNOUNCING THE CURRENT AND ALARM TIMES 

To hear the clock chime and announce the current time, press the large 
button on the front of the clock. 

To view and hear the current alarm time, repeatedly press HOUR until the 
clock beeps four times and announces and displays the alarm time.  The 
display then returns to the current time. 

TURNING THE HOURLY CHIME ON OR OFF 

The clock automatically chimes and announces the time at the beginning of 
each hour.  CHIME appears on the display when the hourly chime is set. 

To turn off the hourly chime, press MINUTE until CHIME disappears and the 
clock beeps once.  To turn on the hourly chime again, press MINUTE until 
CHIME appears and the clock beeps four times.
