EC-2033 LCD Math Tutor Calculator (650-0528) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 18167 INSTALLING BATTERIES You need two AAA batteries (not supplied) to power your EC-2033. We recommend alkaline batteries, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-555. 1. Loosen the screw from the battery compartment cover and remove the cover. 2. Install the batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside the compartment. Note: Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. 3. Replace the cover and secure it with the screw. Notes: Replace the batteries whenever the display dims or LOW appears on the left side of the display. Press ON/AC after replacing the batteries. LOW disappears. We recommend you reset the EC-2033 each time you replace the batteries (see "Resetting the Calculator," below). OPENING THE CASE 1. Press at the point indicated by the arrow and slide the case off of the calculator. 2. Turn the case around, align the grooves on the calculator with the tabs on the case, and slide the calculator onto the case until it clicks. USING THE NAME CARD 1. Using the tip of a paper clip, pop out the clear protective tab covering the name card. 2. Fill in your name. 3. Replace the protective tab. RESETTING THE CALCULATOR Resetting the calculator clears all information previously stored in memory and insures that you start with the most memory space possible. NOTE: You can reset the EC-2033 when it does not work properly or anytime you want to erase all stored information. 1. Press RESET on the back of the calculator with the tip of a paper clip. Reset y-n appears and n flashes on the display. 2. To clear all stored information, press < to select y, then press =. All stored information is cleared and 0 appears. To save any telephone numbers you stored, but delete all other stored information, while n flashes on the display, just press =. 0 appears. (CS 11/17/95)
